4. How early can I book an appointment?

We recommend that you make your appointment and deposit as soon as possible in order to secure the most convenient times.

5. Do you accept walk-ins?

While we accept walk-ins, to the extent we have availability, clients with appointments will be serviced first. We encourage you to make an appointment or call before coming to gauge the estimated waiting period for walk-ins.

6. Can I place a booking over the phone?

Yes. However, you will be required to make the $50 deposit online in order to secure your appointment.

7. I work Mondays through Fridays, can I schedule before- or an after-hour services?

We may be able to accommodate certain early morning or late evening services. Let us know your needs so we can properly advise.

8. How do I get ready for an appointment?

For hairstyles that require extensions (braids, twists, crochets), we offer take-down and shampoo services for an additional fee. If you plan to prep your hair at home, please ensure that your hair is properly washed, detangled and dried. If your hair is not washed or fully dried, there will be an additional fee of $30 added to the service cost to cover the shampoo and blowdry service.

9. How do I cancel an appointment?

10. What happens if I'm late for my appointment?

If you arrive to your appointment more than 30 minutes late, we reserve the right to reschedule your appointment. If you do not reschedule within five (5) days of the original appointment, you will lose the $50 deposit.

12. Are children allowed in the building?

Yes, while we do understand many circumstances, children are allowed as long as the parent takes into consideration the experience of relaxation for not only them but for other customers as well.

13. Do you service children?

We service children over the age of 7.

14. Should I come with extensions?

We provide the extensions required for most of our services. Where we do not provide the extensions, we have so indicated on the "Services Page".

15.  Should I trim my hair before a braided style?

You could but it is not recommended because the hair will spike out of your braid and will result in the stylist may having to trim the ends to suit the braid for a neater look.

16. Do you charge extra for adding color in braids?

No.

17. Should I get box braids if my hair is breaking or shedding?

Absolutely not. The first thing to consider is if your hair is eligible to handle it or not. If your hair is shedding or breaking off , we do not recommend getting them

18. How long does it take to complete braids, weaves and locs?

Because haircare is an art and not a science, it is difficult to provide exact times. Service times vary based on the desired style and length and thickness of your natural hair. If you have time constraints, let us know when making your appointment so we may properly advise you.

19. Do you provide on-site services?

Yes, we provide certain on-site services. Let us know your needs so we can properly advise.

20. How long do cornrows, braids and twists last?

It depends on whether you have added extensions or not as well as how you maintain the style after you leave the salon. Styles without extensions can usually last two to four weeks. Styles with extensions will last up to two months -- we do not recommend that you keep them much longer than this!

21. Can I wash my hair with braids?

Not within the first two weeks, but afterwards it will be safe to wash your braids or you can use an alternative dry shampoo from your local beauty supply store.

22. Should I shampoo regularly if I have braids or twists with extensions in my hair?

We recommend limiting the number of times you shampoo your braids or twist. You may wish to consider using a dry shampoo or cleaning with a washcloth and diluted shampoo between your regular shampooing.

.

23. What happens if I keep my braids in too long?

If you keep your braids in for too long, your natural hair (new growth) will start to lock on its own.

24. Do you provide a braid removal or take down service?

Yes, the timing and pricing will vary based on the fullness and length of your hair. You can find the service option provided under "removal & shampoo".
